We are desperately researching the best way to cover our 5 casement, crank out windows in our living room.

The hardwood floors have taken a beating from the sun & we really need some privacy in that room since it does face the road.

We finally agreed on Wood Shutters. The dilemma now is what color? I have my heart set on a darker wood which I think would ?pop? the white casings around each window. My husband thinks they should be white.

My question to you are do you think the Wood Shutters is our best option for these windows and if so, what color?

Will there be an issue with inside mounting because of our casement? Do people normally do an outside or inside mount?

I have attached some photos of the windows. You will notice there are 3 across the front of the house & 2 on the side.
